Dr Richard Stejer

Richard develops online and instructor-led courses in organisational behaviour, financial management, strategy and innovation, professional ethics, and quantitative analysis.  His courses are innovatively designed with multimedia, audiobooks, vodcasts and interactive documents.  In his previous role as the MBA Course Director with Kaplan Business School, he led the strategy and implementation of domestic and international academic partnerships.  He also produced a community podcast, the Women In Leadership Series, and Business Analytics webinars.  With Kaplan Professional, he wrote subjects in the Master Of Applied Finance and Master Of Financial Planning; and published numerous articles on professional ethics.

Richard’s academic capability is built on 25 years of management consulting and corporate training experience in Australia, Southeast Asia, USA, and New Zealand.  His consulting enables him to customise corporate training programs in business analysis, project management, and leadership.  His leadership contributions include volunteering as Associate Director Of Certification with the Project Management Institute Sydney Chapter and as the NSW State Leader with the Change Management Institute.

Richard has always been passionate about higher education.  His career began near Silicon Valley, California, where he taught clients how to use enterprise application software (EAS).  He continued teaching and consulting with Mount Isa Mines, Rio Tinto Aluminium, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, National Australia Bank, Zurich Insurance, and Telstra among others. In 2008, he graduated with a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) at Macquarie University. His research outcome is a predictive model of human relationship factors in complex project management.  The research informs his teaching with higher education providers including the University Of Technology Sydney, Torrens University, Kaplan Professional, Kaplan Business School, and TAFE NSW.
