Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment

Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment

ASA maintains a strict no-tolerance policy for gender-based violence including sexual assault and sexual harassment. We provide students with the following resources to understand these concepts and get help if needed.

Report an Incident

If you experience or witness an incident of sexual violence, you are strongly encouraged to make a disclosure or report the incident.

You can do this by speaking with ASA staff including the Wellbeing Officer or by completing the online reporting form. ASA will then investigate the incident and determine appropriate actions while ensuring your wellbeing and safety throughout the process. You can choose to make an anonymous disclosure, but this may limit the actions that ASA can take in response.

You can also report the incident directly to the police by calling Triple Zero (000) or by visiting your local police station and requesting to file a report.

Get Support

The Wellbeing Officer is available for students seeking support for their wellbeing concerns, including sexual assault and sexual harassment. You can contact the Wellbeing Officer directly at  or make a booking for a free and confidential appointment to discuss your concerns, get advice, and consider the path forward.

You can also contact the national domestic family and sexual violence counselling service, 1800RESPECT, at 1800 737 732. This is a free service offering 24/7 support to anyone impacted by domestic, family or sexual violence.

SASH Module

The Student Learning Hub contains information about consent and sexual violence, including how students can report an incident and support survivors.
All staff and students must progress through this module and complete the Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Quiz as part of their course progress.
