Study Adjustments
We recognise that you may experience unexpected or unavoidable circumstances which adversely impact your academic performance.
For assessment tasks worth more than 5% of the total unit grade, you must apply for alternative arrangements via the Special Consideration Request. You will then be notified in writing of the final decision regarding your request within 10 working days from the submission date.
Reasonable Adjustments may be made to ensure that students are able to equitably participate and succeed in their course of study while meeting inherent requirements. Reasonable adjustments may include:
- Use of a scribe or speech to text software
- The ability to complete particular sessions online
- Screen overlays or using alternative text fonts
To apply, students must complete the Reasonable Adjustment Request Form along with any supporting documentation. This should include recent confirmation of your needs by an authoritative source, such as a medical certificate, letters from professionals, or a statutory declaration. Your request will then be considered and you will be notified of any alternative arrangements.
